Boy-Meets-Girl

There has been an epidemic of the boyfriend style for a couple of years now. It started with the boyfriend jeans...

Then it went onto the boyfriend jacket, cardigan, etc.




For Fall 2011 we are putting a twist on the boyfriend look and its called girl-meets-boy. Its the boyfriend look with a more feminine twist. Its also all about layering. It can either be a little preppy or a little bit grunge.



This look is boy meets girl with a little grunge. The plaid button up, sweatshirt, and Doc Marten give you the masculine feel. Everything else is girl with a grunge twist. You have a floral corset, which is very feminine, but the black base and the zipper detail gives it a ruff edge.




This look is boy meets girl with a preppy twist. It consist of boyfriend cardigan and short, layered with a t-shirt and button up.

Inspiration for Photoshoot Next Week






I am very excited to do this shoot. I've never really styled men before, but I have faith in myself so I should be good. Plus it should be easier since I have a theme and concept. It's very old Hollywood, Johnny Depp back in the days! Expect to pics from that shoot too!

1st Photoshoot!

Today was an amazing day!! The photo shoot couldn't have gone any better. I had an amazing crew. Photographer was Candace Guerrero, Make-Up Artist was Katherine , and the model was Freida Tela-Auelua. The concept was a girl (Me) and her different alter egos...Here are some sneak peeks of the shots..

Here is Me...The girly girl at heart.

Here is the second look her name is Spicy. She is the bad ass she doesn't take shit from anybody.

The last look is my favorite! Her name is Shavonne. She is the party girl, always ready to have a good time. She is a mix of class and skank lol.

Photoshoot

So it's finally going to happen! I am having my first photoshoot this saturday. I will providing behind the scenes look of the shoot. Here is the location we decided on...

I think it's going to be a really hot shoot! I'm working with an amazing photographer named Candace Guerrero, Model named Free, and Makeup Artist name Katherine. It should be fun! Talk to you then!

2010 BET Awards

BET Awards came on June 29, 2010 and if you haven't seen them you missed out! It was a really good show. It was filled with many highlights and performances. But the most exciting for me was of course the red carpet fashion. Its kind of sad though there were more misses than hits for me. No one just blew me away. Here are some of the people I liked.


Vivica A. Fox looks great, I am not sure at what age you should start to tone it down, but I guess if you have the body. She definitely has that!

Surprisingly I thought Brandy looked really good. Usually she doesn't do anything for me,but I thought she and the dress looked amazing.

Tia Mowry looks nice. The dress is simple but beautiful. The shoes were really cute!

I thought Nia Long look great! She had a nice Sunkist glow. The dress fit her like a glove.

Out of all of them this is my favorite dress. Ashanti has really stepped her game up. The last couple of appearances she's made her outfits have been great. I love that the dress is red. I love the details on the shoulder. Its sleek and sexy but sophisticating at the same time.

Here are the people I think missed the mark...

Sad to say but Naturi needs to get a stylist or fire the one she has, because she's been on my bad list multiple times. This is dress deserves nothing else but to end up on the worst dress list. This dress looks like a big piece of black latex. Its just too much and she doesn't have it to pull that look off.

Ciara has been missing the mark since she came on the scene. It seems like she is always trying so hard to do something different and set her apart, but she always just looks wrong. Maybe this would have worked on someone like Rihanna.

Okay so this outfit is just all bad. First, It looks cheap. She is only 5 feet so the length of these pants shrink her even more. She needs a bra on and she has horizontal wrinkles by the front area which means it's not a good fit.
